Introduction to Special Education: International and Comparative Perspectives

Special Education, Disability and Learning

These courses are very international in nature in terms of students' participation. Usually students come from different European countries, Asia, Australia, etc. This provides a good opportunity for exchanges between the students and the understanding of the different national perspectives to special education.

These courses have particularly been of interest to students who intend to work with kids one way or the other as teachers, special need teachers, special need pedagogues, etc.

The first course provides an overview of special education; different aspects of special education from societal, group to the individual are covered. The second course will cover a detailed study of a specific disability.
